SARAH HOCHSTETLER is a doctoral candidate in Teaching and Learning at the University of California, Santa Barbara. She is specializing in Language, Literacy and Composition. Her research interests include the teaching of writing as well as the history of English education and writing instruction. Before arriving at UCSB, Hochstetler taught ninth and tenth grade English in Southern California and prior to that, taught seventh grade Language Arts in her native Michigan. She received her B.A. in English with an emphasis in Language and Literature from Grand Valley State University in Grand Rapids, Michigan and her M.A. in Education from California State University, San Bernardino. |
