Strings is a flash project that presents the viewer with eight pieces that express human emotions and interactions through the movement and blending of simple, common words. The message offered to the viewer relies mainly on the movement and presentation of his chosen words rather than the meaning of the letters themselves. Just as words exchanged between two people can differ in meaning depending on body language, tone, and context so do the messages in Strings. Waber’s careful physical manipulation of simple words represent the complex array of human relationships. It is in the point of view of the reader and the precise animantion of words that contribute to the overall meaning.
