Several other U.S. fields exist, but are not pictured: Morgan Springs (CA), Umnak Island (AK), and Kanaga Island (AK). Geyser-like behavior has been observed in a handful of other locations within the United States. Erupting geothermal wells include Old Faithful of Calistoga, California, and Old Perpetual Geyser, Lakeview, Oregon. At least two natural carbon-dioxide-driven, cold-water, intermittent spouters are known: one near Salton Sea, California, and another in Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming. These and other cold-water geysers are described in the article The operation and geography of carbon-dioxide-driven, cold-water geysers by J.A. Glennon and R.M. Pfaff (2005). A companion website to that article can be found here.
