A testament to Fresh Fruit
My project is very much a testament to my interest in harvesting fresh fruit. The origins of this project date back to the very first time I peddled my bike down the town’s foggy streets and glanced at a tree covered with perfectly ripe figs. The excitement of these discoveries led to a fresh new hobby of finding new fruit trees. Discovering and raiding these trees provided an outlet to focus my curious mind. Now four years later, with a growing amount of mapping experience, I have mapped out all the fruit trees accessible by road or sidewalk. After three days of biking around Isla Vista with a GPS unit and two weeks of GIS based map designs, Isla Vista’s fruit trees are now mapped out for the public.
