APPLICATION
Santa Barbara City College invites students committed to achieving their academic goals to apply to the College Achievement Program. The goal of C.A.P. is to help students develop strategies that will enable them to effectively balance their academic and personal responsibilities.
C.A.P. offers you: • the opportunity to join a network of students committed to success in college • the opportunity to work with a network of faculty committed to success of C.A.P. students • an experienced student to assist and mentor you • the College Achievement Course • scholarship funding
The College Achievement Course will help you to: • develop an education plan • develop a financial plan • educate you about financial aid and scholarships • learn effective study skills and habits • use campus offices and support services effectively • develop student networks • learn more about the academic requirements in various disciplines through a guest faculty lecturer series • develop strategies to help you balance the demands of college and personal responsibilities

TO BE ELIGIBLE: • You must plan to take the College Achievement Course and a minimum of two other classes in Spring 2007 • You cannot be eligible for EOPS funding
TO APPLY: •Attach with your written response to question #6. • Submit a letter of reference from a faculty member, counselor, or school club advisor.
SELECTION PROCEDURE: • A screening committee will review your application , transcripts, and letter of reference.
