PDN’s website is packed with lots of information, that it would take hours to read every tidbit written about the photographic industry. PDN Online is easy to follow resource for professional photographers and to new photographers alike. PDN’s main features include photography industry news, new products available to photographers, photo galleries, contests, classified listings, and potential client insights. PDN also offers information on who’s shooting big advertising campaigns, technical shortcuts in photography, as well as “Photo Source” which helps photographers find rental houses and assistants in their area. These particular features can help make a photographer’s business run more smoothly as well as making them more photo savvy in any aspect the business. Although, PDN’s website is easy to navigate, this website seems designed primarily for professionals. Any regular photography lover and hobbyist might be disinterested in the information due to its articles that are tailored around photographers who are immersed in the business side of it. Although this website seems to be only for working professionals, this could be an interesting read for serious amateurs. To draw more of an audience to this website and/or magazine, PDN could hone in on the hobbyist photographer by including informational articles on correct shooting techniques, things that are fundamentals of photography.
