Sports shooter is the main website for photojournalists. It exists almost solely for photojournalism and it does an excellent job providing information for that purpose. The different sections are helpful with lots of resources and current events and news about photography. The member profile pages also have useful information as well as a clean design. Moreover, the home page has current articles about recent innovations in photography and journalism; all are well written and helpful. Every time a member updates their photographs their profile is featured on the front page. There is a nice section called ‘fun pixs’ that shows funny photos of professional photojournalists in a somewhat less than flattering light, but it’s all in good fun. The classified section provides an excellent place for people to find used equipment from other sports shooter members, and it provides a little bit of security by knowing the seller is a member of sports shooter. Another really valuable section is called ‘the guide’. The guide is a section that provides information about different places a working photographer might find themselves, and what’s really makes ‘the guide’ useful about s that all the information is providedid by other photographers that have dealt with the same situations that you will be dealing with. Sports shooter also puts on workshops and conventions throughout the year to help working professional and the student alike, which you can find out about online.
