My work at SCL is focused towards an eventual larger goal of unified speech-audio coding. In which my immediate attention is towards exploiting long term correlation in audio files.
Before coming to UCSB I had a good long stint in the industry at Ittiam. As part of the audio team I was involved in audio codecs development, audio effects development, platform specific audio development and development process standardization. More details of this can be found in my resume.
During my undergrad I did my final year project with TI and Prof. Sumam David. Our main work included fixed point conversion of the iLBC speech codec and its implementation on the TI C55x DSP. We also briefly worked on implementing the JPEG decoder.
